After freezing time, Shadow had time to think while frozen but unable to leave the space that was frozen in time. Being able to move around freely within the space but, unable to leave freely without any kind of consequences it gives anyone all the time in the universe to think, including a way out. After only freezing time within that space to what seemed as only a few hours had past to think and wonder, for the rest of the universe; years had gone by unknowingly to Shadow. After enough time Shadow was able to think of a way out. Using the gravity of the similar like black hole and precise timing to escape the gravity field while unfreezing time at the very moment his speed would be stronger than the gravity allowing time for him to leave and unfreeze time. After leaving the infinite gravity of something similar to a black hole he went to return back to earth.
